Arithmetic – 3 times table
Multiplying and dividing by three
Below is an outline of how to develop multiplication and division skills
- Count in 3s up to 36 and write down all these numbers – 0, 3, 6, etc.
- Write the 3 times table in order – 0 x 3 = 0, 1 x 3 = 3, etc
- Write 3 times table facts in both different forms – 3 x 4 = 12 and 4 x 3 = 12
- Write the 3 times table in random order – 3 x 9 = 27, 5 x 3 = 15, etc
Extension Challenge
Learn related division facts – 15 / 5 = 3 and 15 / 3 = 5
The tests will be on Friday 22nd January.
