Class 3 had wonderful day at Tuesley Farm in Sussex. We were made to feel extremely welcome and looked after by the hosts who kindly showed us around the fruit farm for the day. We learnt how strawberries and blueberries are grown. We also had a good insight into how irrigation systems are used on farms (this is how plants are watered and therefore able to grow and produce fruit).
We had the chance to look around a factory which was preparing and packaging all of the fruit, ready to go to the supermarkets, that very day! Amazingly, we also were given the opportunity to pick our own fruit. We are very grateful to Tuesley Farm who allowed us to have a magical day. Thank you for teaching us so much and also for allowing us to experience life on a fruit farm. We hope you enjoy our pictures.
Tuesley farm was the best trip ever! We got to pick blueberries and strawberries. When we were going place to place we got to go in the tractors. They were very bumpy but it was a lovely sight. We had our packed lunches in the woods, while we were eating Mary and Robert started to give out cupcakes. We got a second cake for drawing such a good picture in our sketch pads that we got also with some crayons. We also got a Tuesley farm bag to put all that stuff in!
Thank you for your patience Mary and Robert!!
Tuesley farm was the best trip ever! I hope I go back to Tuesley farm. Thank you to Mary and Robert.
