Class 4 have been lucky enough to be chosen to take part in African drum lessons. We started last week and will continue this week.
The first lesson has them familiarising themselves with the Djembe drums and experimenting with the different sounds it produced.
We then moved onto some quick games involving them playing along to the rhythm (or not, as was the object of ‘don’t play that rhythm now’) before exercising their vocal chords for some singing and dancing.
After seeing the talent and personalities shine through last week, I can’t wait to see what the next session brings!
What impressed you about the session?
