Class 5 Trip to Lambeth CLC

Class 5 went on a trip today, where we found out lots and lots about robots.

We programmed them to navigate a square, then a figure of eight, and finally, we programmed them to dance! Have a look at our video to see how we got on.

The trip was so fun I thought it was the best trip ever! We got to make robots and do a robot dance to the music. I heard other people also say it was the best trip.

It was so fun using the Lego robots and I hope we can do something like that in school.

Using the Lego robots was amazing and it really gave us a good opertunity to show our ICT skills. I hope we will get to do that sort of thing in school.

It was really fun when we were programming the robots with the computers. We found out that robots can do any thing like making cars and making plastic surgery. I thought it was really clever making the robots move in a square and a figure of eight and making the robots dance. I don’t understand why the video won’t work because we had such a good time and we want to show what we learnt. I loved it!

I enjoyed it very much, the man Jo and the women Doreen were so kind to us I am grateful. I liked playing with the robots when we had to make up a routine for the robot to dance. Thank you Miss Fullana, Mrs Rees and Janet for taking us on the tube and walking us some of the way there, and thank you Mr.Scott for organising the trip for us, me and my class are very grateful for that opportunity and the first time in Year5 we had been on a school trip.

I think that the filming was very good and I liked that everyone was smiling and enjoying themselves. I enjoyed programming the computers to follow our directions.

I enjoyed the trip because it was fun. We played with robots and made the  robots dance to music. I love the videos about the robots but I was scared when Joe said that maybe robots would be doing surgery on humans. Thank you Mr Scott for letting us go on this wonderful trip and thanks to my lovely teachers Miss Fullana, Janet and Mrs Rees for taking us on the trip.

When year 5 went to CLC we programmed robots and tried to make them to move around an exact square that we were given – shown in the video above all the comments – and then we had to make them dance! It was really fun when we went there and programmed the robots – at the same time it was quite hard!
