More amazing Literacy!

Class 5 have such a talent for creative writing that we decided to share some more wonderful work! We created an alternative scene for Kensuke’s Kingdom, in the style of Michael Morpurgo. Here are a couple of the best:

I pranced forward, leaving Stella Artois behind. The cool sea breeze filled my hair and I felt ecstatically happy, despite the fact that I didn’t know who the provider of my food was. The sea crashed around my feet and I walked on. Suddenly, I decided to take a walk in the forest, meanwhile Stella galloped around the cave. The trees sighed wistfully and the parrots cawed. However, I thought I could see an old, hunched figure in the distance. I shook the thought out of my head and walked on. A glistening, black rock cut into my foot and drew crimson red blood. I turned back to the sea and the translucent, cold water clasped my foot. I just couldn’t help thinking about the figure in the forest…

Anya, that was wonderful!

I strolled along the beach, staring at the wavy sea crashing and clattering against the coal black rocks. Stella was sprinting off in front of me, with her ears pricked and her tail like a helicopter blade whirring. Despite the cacophony, I felt calm and peaceful. Even though I had lost my parents, I was having the time of my life! Every day, I would explore a different part of the island and come home expecting my benefactor to have brought me a fish and fresh water. That day I went another way down the beach, this way seemed a lot darker…

Great descriptions Freddy!

Leo, Deiago, Elysia and Sakshi also produced excellent writing today, so really well done to them too!
