British museum

Class 5 visited the British Museum on Friday to look at their Ancient Greece Galleries, and to have a workshop on identifying characters from the Greek myths from their pictures.

Can you remember how we can identify:

Heracles?
Athena?
Medusa?

We also used these photos, which we took, to inspire us in writing; have a look at the Class 5 Book of Myths to read our wonderfully imaginative responses (or read the comments below, where several are featured).
Which mythical beasts and immortals can you spot?

When we went to the British Museum it was very interesting because we looked at different pottery and pictures. On the different pots we saw different battles and things going on. We had different jobs, there are 3, Team leader, Moniter and the Recorder. In our groups we took turns. It was very interesting, I would recommend it and I would like to go there again.

We went to the British Museum! We had a lot of fun and we found out a lot of information on Ancient Greece. There were lots of interesting pots with pictures on them telling a story. In our time, we would make a story using books with words but in Ancient Greece, they would have one picture telling you the whole story! In our groups, we had a team leader (who would tell us what to do), a monitor (who had to keep everybody on track and ask people questions) and a recorder (who kept the information and took pictures of interesting things on our iPads). We had such a great day and I would love to go there again someday, even though I’ve already been there a lot of times, we still had a lot of fun.

Thank you for taking us on this trip Miss Fullana!!!

The British Museum was very interesting because we got to see pots with different things going on. We had three different parts in our groups, the team leader (who makes sure everyone is participating and working colabarotively), the monitor (makes sure everyone doing their jobs right) and the recorder (writes down everything the team does).

This was an exciting and fun trip. It was great to see the fantastic statues, and the lady who  gave us a preview about the gods and goddesses.
