Last week, Class 6 had a wonderful day at Buckingham Palace, on a creative writing course. We were lead through the magnificent rooms by writes, who drew our attention to many of the beautiful details, including elaborate table decoration, embroidered thrones and secret doors. We looked at this painting of Queen Victoria’s coronation in particular.
What did you see at the palace?
What made the day so special?
Which details caught your attention?
I wish I could go to Buckingham Palace.
That looks really fun. Did you enjoy it? Also, what did you do?
I wish we went but I am sure you had a brilliant time there! What did you learn?
Buckingham Palace was such a fantastic experience. It was such a wonderful place although I would not live there as I would probably get lost. I learnt that when the Queen is having a dinner party all the guests should stop eating when the Queen had finished.
