Autumn 2- Week 4

Stars of the Week: All of Reception

This week we had a very special occasion, our very first Collective Worship. Miss Keohane and Sara are very proud of the whole class- every single one of you were fantastic! All of the children worked exceptionally hard to learn their lines, plus the songs and poems. They spoke so clearly and confidently, it’s hard to believe they are only in Reception!

Thank you to everyone that came to watch the performance- we hope you enjoyed it! Here is a video:

Last Friday was Spanish Day at Cathedral School. It was wonderful to see so many of the children dressed up in traditional Spanish costumes and colours! The children then spent the morning learning Spanish phrases, making puppets in traditional Spanish costumes, role playing in the Café Espanol and counting using Spanish numbers. We were also lucky enough to have a Spanish version of the story Guess How Much I Love You read to us by a Spanish parent. At lunchtime, traditional Spanish music was played in the hall while the children and staff enjoyed either Spanish chicken or stew followed by churros! During the afternoon, we looked at Gaudi’s Park in Barcelona and made our own mosaics. Here are some pictures:
