As a staff we have all enjoyed welcoming the children back to school today and hearing about their holidays. The day started with a welcome back assembly where children were encouraged to think about what they are looking forward to at Cathedral School this academic year.
What are you looking forward to this year?
Welcome Back
Doing the Easter play because it’s fun to do drama at Easter, also it makes people happy to see how hard you worked to do something to entertain them and make them remember the story of the Easter play.
Learning is very interesting and learning helps you outside of school, for example if somebody asked you a question like 3×9 you would know the answer which is 27.

In Class 4 I was feeling ready for school. My favourite lesson so far has been literacy because we are learning about Hindu festivals in faiths week. I learnt that in Hindu festivals people use henna to decorate their hands and feet especially in wedding ceremonies. We also got to create our own piece of Hindu art. I decided to draw a Hindu God with a lions tail, a blue face and green armour. Overall I had a great first day back to school.
