Poetry Week!
This week has been Poetry Week at Cathedral School. Nursery have learnt that a poem is a bit like a song, but we don’t always sing it!
We have been singing lots of nursery rhymes this week, which we always enjoy doing and are very good at!
We have also learnt a new poem all about names! There will be a video of us performing the poem to follow…
This week we have been doing different activities based upon our names!
We used our phonic knowledge to hear the initial sounds in a variety of pictures – and once we had done this we realised that the initial letters spelt out our names!
We also collaged the letters in our names to make a bright and vibrant display!
Stars of the Week: All of Nursery
Well done to everyone in Nursery for working really hard to learn our class poem ‘Everybody Has A Name’. You have all done really well to remember all of the words, and to use a clear voice! You should all be very proud of yourselves!
