We looked at famous self-portraits such as Vincent Van Gogh, Chuck Close and Andy Warhol. We realised that different self-portraits show how the person is feeling. We then created our own self-portrait, focusing on detail of the face and expression.

The lesson was really fun!
I really enjoyed using the oil pastels, it was really fun.
That was amazing Miss Hatherley.
I really hope we can do it again.
It is my favourite subject.
Today we’ve been having a very fun music lesson. We’ve made are own mantra (a mantra is a Hindu
sort of song where a sound repeats itself).
Art was amazing. It’s one of my favourite subjects. My self-portrait had a similarity to the self-portrait that I painted. Listening to lovely art music was so nice.
Thank you for teaching us Miss Hatherley.
