Magnetism!

Today in science we learnt how magnets  repel or attract one another depending on the way we position  them next to each other.  We experimented with different magnets.

We were then set the task of predicting magnetic materials and recording our findings in a table. We went around the room and tested different materials.

We sorted our findings into a Venn diagram as we have been doing lots of work on sorting data in maths.

We had a fantastic time experimenting with magnets and finding out which materials are magnetic!

This was so fun – when you tried to put a red with a red it didn’t work. It felt like a wall in between it.

The magnetism was amazing. I didn’t know that if you put a magnet on the table and under the table it moves a little bit when pulled!

Did you know that magnets have two poles, the south pole and the north pole.

    I really enjoyed exploring magnets!

I would like to find out who found the magnetic harbour.
