This half term in literacy we are writing our own stories with imaginary settings!
In fantasy stories pretty much anything can happen! To begin exploring fantasy fiction we wrote our own silly stories.
You can do it too, all you need is a group of friends, paper and pens. Take it in turns to write down part of a story, but follow the order below. Then, when you have got to the end you can read your story out aloud and it might make sense or it might sound really silly!
1. When?
2. Where?
3. Who?
4. What were they like?
5. How did they feel?
6. Because…
7. Suddenly (or another connective to move the story on)
8. So…
9. Afterwards…
10. However…
11. In the end
Here is one of our results!
In the stone age, in a cottage in the woods lived 3 girls with their Mum and Dad. They were incredibly poor but they felt very full up because they were cross. Suddenly they heard the sound of a bucket of money. So finally they had friends! After that they found themselves in the year 89,000,000. However, they were safe. In the end they ate a slice of six layered chocolate cake.
It is nonsense! But great fun and helps us to think about connectives and how to move a story on. You can even have a go with your own story structure to follow instead of the steps above.
Post any stories you make with your friends on here!
Well done class4, you must be geniouses now
You are in class4
I really enjoyed being in class4 the fantasy fiction was great fun
What I have learnt in fantasy stories is that they can be adventurous, heroic and or a fairy tale.
That piece of writting was very descriptive.
The writing is really funny. 😉
