    There is 678 pupils in a school and in another school  there is 365 pupils so what is the total of both
    the schools?

    There is 345 cinema seats in the Curzon  and 478 seats in the Barbacon how many seats are there  altogether?

    Well done Year 4, your word problems are impressive. They demonstrate that you understand the mathematical vocabulary need for addition and I am pleased to see that you are working with 3 digit numbers. What advice would you give to someone who is solving a word problem for the first time?
