Last week saw the whole school celebrating book week 2014. What better way to celebrate the joy, fear, happiness and excitement that books bring us than by dressing up as our favourite book character?
We had a selection including dragons, Harry Potter, Oliver Twist, Mr Stink and many more! Even Bilbo Baggins joined us after a trek from Bag End to Cathedral School!
A great time was had by all and we were all very enthusiastic about our favourite books and characters.
What is your favourite book and why?
My favourite book is Gorges marvellous medicine because it has a few scary cliffhangers and it is a inspiring.

I love your outfits for Book Day.
My favourite book so far is The Subtle Knife,by Philip Pullman(one of my favourite writes). This is about a boy named Will, who meets a girl called Lyra in an amaginery world…I love this book because it has brilliant descriptions, an adventurer and it has amazing characters.
I love Philip Pullman, he is an incredible author who really engages the reader. We have been looking at ‘Clockwork’ and ‘A Firework Makers Daughter’ in class 4 during guided reading.
You all look amazing especially the dragon!
