Class 4 learn all about Hinduism for World Faiths Week

We had a super first week back at school. The religion we focused on was Hinduism and we learnt all about how Hindus celebrate and ‘live life to the full’ – like we do at Cathedral School.

We created our own Rangoli patterns, a Rangoli is a colourful design made on the floor near the entrance to a house to welcome guests during Diwali. Hindus draw bright Rangoli patterns to encourage the goddess Lakshmi to enter their homes.

Careful detail was added to our Mehndi designs, designed by women during Navaratri.

Acrostic poems were written to share our learnings on different Hindu celebrations; such as Holi, Navaratri and Divali.

Class 4, what interesting facts did you learn about Hinduism during World Faiths Week?
