Autumn – Week 6 Class – Assembly!

STARS OF THE WEEK – All of Class 4 for their brilliant effort in their assembly.

We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who came to support and watch our assembly. We were really excited to show you all what we have been learning about so far this term. We had so many ideas that we couldn’t include everything! We worked really hard and we hope you enjoyed it. A video of our assembly will follow soon!

Autumn 1 – Week 5

Stars of the week: Zara and Gabriel

We have been learning about sound in science this half term. This week we investigated what happens to sound as the distance from the sound source increases. We presented our findings in groups to the rest of the class. Some of us used our knowledge of charts and bar graphs to present our findings which we have been learning about in maths!

Autumn 1 Week 4 – The Iron Man!

We have really enjoyed reading The Iron Man over the past few weeks. Our reading and writing skills have been really improving! Come and see the lovely display in our classroom for some fantastic opening scenes of The Iron Man. We also had the chance to act out our own versions of the beginning of The Iron Man to the rest of the class.

Autumn 1 Week 3

Stars of the week: Anton and Aldara

This week Class 4 have been reading The Iron Man. We have been working on our descriptive writing for a setting description based on the story. Come and visit the lovely display and read our work in the classroom!

Autumn 1 Week 2 – World Faith Week!

In Class 4 we have been looking at Judaism. We read the story of Moses and the 10 commandments. We talked about how the commandments link to our Fruits of Friendship. We learned about the symbols of Judaism and created a colourful Star of David. We even had the chance to practise writing patience, kindness and goodness in Hebrew. Our Menorah candles represent the story of Hanukkah. This is an important festival in Judaism. We hope you love our artwork!

Autumn Week 1 – Welcome to Year 4!

Year 4 have had a brilliant week settling in to a new class routine and writing our class charter.

We are excited to welcome a new member of our class, Sienna!

We have enjoyed learning about Judaism for World Faiths Week and making Menorah candles for our display. Keep your eyes peeled for next weeks post to see how they turned out!
