Maths investigations

In Nursery, we have been thinking about ‘the same and different’.

We started by exploring shapes, and looked at whether they were the same colour, size or shape, or if they had “the same pointy corners”.

Then we looked at dinosaurs and found lots of things to compare, using the language of size and shape:

* “That one’s big and that one’s small.”
* The T-Rex has “little hands” but “a big big body.”
* “he’s got a twist in his neck.”
* “His neck goes up and up and up.”
* “It has a very long neck.”
* “We can put the big ones together.”
* “I’m going to put it there because it’s little.”

Nursery sorted their dinosaurs in lots of different ways. Can you see what is the same about the dinosaurs in each picture? Leave a comment on the blog if you think you know!
