This term in class 4 we are looking at creating our own educational game! We will be using Scratch to create and animate our games. Scratch is a great piece of software which allows us to code games and animations really easily.
We were using this website in Computing and we all learnt lots from it. We’ve posted it on the blog for you to try your hand at coding!
There’s lots of interesting videos as well from Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg, discussing their experiences with coding.
It’s easier than you think! Be warned though, it does get tough!
I love using scratch. it is really fun. one time we made a maths quiz using scratch and it was really fun as well.
i’m looking forward to making my own game using coding. It’ll be great fun learning how to make a game from start to finish. I might design a game about diving or animals.

We had fun doing the levels on the angry bird scratch. Me and my partner got up to level 12, which was zombies v aliens! It was really fun playing on scratch!

I really liked coding because it took a long time to figure some of them out. But it was excellent when I kept on crashing and not understanding how to do that level. I really can’t wait we make one ourselves. I think every one should of enjoyed it.
It was really hard when we had to keep track of where our character was or you would make it move in the wrong place. Computers are so clever!!!

I love computing. The first level is angry birds and the second is plants vs zombies. Scratch is the best I have it on my computer. And I can’t wait until we get to make our own game on scratch! It’s really fun to be in year 4 I love it!
This was so much fun.Me and Harry played about with gravity cat we made him go all the way across the screen in a second! I hope we do this again.
