Our Trip to Wonderland!

On Friday we went on an exciting trip around the River Thames. First, we walked to the River at Southwark Bridge, then we walked all the way along until Tower Bridge. On the way we passed Cannon Street Railway Bridge and London Bridge. We were very lucky once we arrived at Tower Bridge because it was just about to open for a boat to sail through. We couldn’t believe our luck!
After crossing Tower Bridge, we walked along the north side of the river along to the Millennium Bridge (AKA the Wobbly Bridge, the Harry Potter Bridge). We carefully crossed the Millennium bridge in time for our lunch (and the rain!). We had to eat our lunch quickly because we didn’t want to be late for our exciting session in the afternoon at the RNIB Literary Wonderland where we were going to meet CBBC presenter and magician… Ben Hanlin!
Ben Hanlin was very funny, he played a lot of tricks on us including using telepathy with Miss Deacon! Afterwards, read us an extract from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Then we were free to explore the Wonderland and learn about all the sense we use to explore books.

Here are some photo’s from our trip.

Class 4, what was your favourite part of our trip?

Seeing Tower Bridge open must have been a wonderful experience! I would love to have done that when I was at Cathedral Primary! Wow!
