Hampton Court Palace

On Wednesday 4th December, 2013, class 4 went to Hampton Court Palace and we went to catch a tube from London Bridge to Waterloo. We left at 9:15 to arrive on time and give us spare time to look around.  At Hampton Court Palace, we saw various people dressed as Tudors such as King Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn and William III. Everyone had lots of fun! The trip was also an educational trip for us as we are currently learning about the Tudors. The wonderful trip was enjoyable, and we would definitely like to go again!

We hope you enjoy the pictures!

Class 4 set off to investigate Hampton Court Palace. We have been learning about the Tudors, so what better place to apply our knowledge?!

We met lots of characters along the way including Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn. We discovered how they used to live, what they ate and how they entertained….no Playstation involved!

We rounded it all off with the superb session, becoming Tudor Explorers. We took the roles of Martin Frobisher, Hugh Willoughby and Sir Francis Drake. We backed our own explorer and joined them on their treacherous voyages in search of spices, gold and fur! Some were lucky and became rich, others were not so lucky and paid the ultimate price! As you can see, Queen Brenda was appeased with her gifts of fur and gold!

Mr. Morrell.

    What was your favourite part?
I enjoyed Henry’s apartments and the kitchens were amazing! Imagine having a kitchen that big in your house!

my favorite part was the kitchens. The cooking pots were so heavy i couldn’t imagine cooking with one of those! They must have used loads of herbs in their cooking. There were so many barrels of wine in the wine cellar there were 34! I really enjoyed the trip thank you Mr Morrell and the parent helpers.
