Autumn 2 Week 2- Transport Walk!

Stars of the Week: Ben and Paraskevi

Reception have had another great week at school! This week we have been super busy with our autumn writing, learning about capacity in maths and looking at transport, which is our new topic this half term. On Wednesday, we went on a local walk around our school to spot different forms of transport, it was very fun and children ticked off all the different modes of transport they came across! Take a look at the pictures below from our walk!

Autumn 2 Week 1

Stars of the Week: Ari and Abigail

Reception have settled back very well after half term! This week we have been looking at Bonfire Night and some children attempted to make their own fireworks in the craft area! We have also been looking at autumn colours and children made some lovely autumn trees using paint and handprints, they are up on display in our classroom!

Our Learning this Week

Stars of the week: Paraskevi and Adeel

This week Reception have been learning all about ‘more’ and ‘fewer’ in maths. Children produced some great work and were able to understand this concept through practical activities! This week we have also been; labelling autumn pictures in English, learning about Jesus and his miracles in RE and making lots of lovely arts and craft to display in our classroom!

Our Learning this Week 5.10.20

Stars of the Week: Xanthe and Jayvaughn

Reception have worked very hard on their learning this week. In RE, the class learnt all about the Bible story of Jesus feeding the 5000! Children then used role play to imagine they were there when Jesus fed fish and bread to all the people who came to listen to him. In Maths this week, we have looked at 2D shape patterns and children have produced some lovely pieces of work. Good job on another great week Reception!
