This half term in Year 5, we have been learning about WW2. As part of this, in our English lessons, we decided to write our own stories that were set during this period.
All of the children worked really hard on their writing. Please enjoy reading their stories, and marvelling at their imaginations. I am so proud of what they have written – well done Year 5!

I loved reading Emil’s story. I thought that the plot was very intriguing. The description of the food made my mouth water it was so good! I thought that the ending was very interesting because we never discover if Jan survives or gets caught. This technique had a very good effect.
I enjoyed learning about World War Two and writing our own stories. My favourite part of learning World War Two was making the spitfires during art. One thing that I learnt was that Adolf Hitler thought children with blonde hair and blue eyes was a perfect role model. Another thing I learnt was that Adolf Hitler killed himself.
When my sister read the story I wrote, she exclaimed that she felt as if she was reading a book from a world-known author!
I had so much fun writing my stories and I think it was one of my best story so far.
I think everyones turned out great.
Well done everybody all of the stories are so amazing and I am really proud of mine, I shared it with all my family and read some other ones to them as well. All of the description my mum thought was amazing and my dad said it was really good quality, and he is a writer so that is saying something. I really enjoyed writing my story it was definitely worth the time.
